A man and woman in their 70s were killed in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler in Perry County on Sunday night, the Mississippi Highway Patrol is reporting.
Willie Mitchell, 75, of Richton was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Impala on Highway 15 South when it collided with a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Jack Howell, 56, of Blackshear, Ga., according to the MHP report.
Mitchell and his passenger, 70-year-old Louise McSwain, were pronounced dead at the scene.
